We took the 516 bus from Ambleside, departing 09-30 hrs and arrived at the Old Dungeon Ghyll at 10 a.m. After a leisurely walk down Great Langdale we stopped at Skelwith Bridge for lunch beside the waterfalls. Sue took the bus back to Ambleside from Skelwith Bridge, leaving the mountain goats to go back via Loughrigg Fell.
